Tamara earned her MBA from North Carolina State University, as well as a chemistry degree from Gardner-Webb University. A native of Princeville, NC, Dr. Casey L. Collins currently works as a Health & PE teacher for the District of Columbia Public Schools, a curriculum writer, and a trainer for the local Washington Teacher Union. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Health/PE from Gardner-Webb University, a Masters in Physical Education from North Carolina Central University, and a Doctorate from Harvard University, completing a dissertation entitled, Constructing an Educational Equity Matrix and Survey for Schools in a Metropolitan County in North Carolina. She has a published chapter in "Inspiring Student Writers: Strategies and Examples for Teachers" by Tom Scheft, entitled Reflections on Langston Hughes’ “Mother To Son”. She has also worked with Communities In Schools and taught in the Wake County Public School System for 14 years.

Cassandra currently serves as the Fitness Director for Raymond James Financial. She is an expert in human movement performance and behavior intelligence. Cassandra is also the local chapter co-chair of the (LGBTQ+ BRG) Raymond James Pride Inclusion Network (PIN) and serves as a National Board Member for Pride Inclusion Network. She views wellness as a culture through the lens of intersectionality, breaking down unconscious social structures to foster body-positive environments. Cassandra has been a keynote guest speaker for various BRGs and corporate training/development conferences. She develops and implements inclusive programming, creates synergistic strategies to increase BRG representation, and consults other leaders on raising awareness on inclusivity and common microaggressions in the workplace.
